After numerous requests for our recipes, we created our own cookbook 17 years ago. It was a collection of recipes prepared daily at Blue Bonnet Cafe, as well as tried and true favorites of employees, friends and family. Once we sold 25,000 copies, we thought it was a good idea to add some new recipes in celebration of our 80th anniversary. This is the same mug we use to serve coffee at the restaurant. The coffee mug features the state of Texas with bluebonnets and "Blue Bonnet Cafe An 83-year Tradition." Each year we update the number on the mug, making it a collectible item.
Like the Blue Bonnet Cafe, these mugs last a long time. We've had people call or email us to say that they're still drinking coffee from their 15-year old mug and how proud they are to have one from so long ago.

Over the years we've had lots of motorcycle riders come through our doors. We noticed that lots of riders wear patches to identify the motorcycle clubs to which they belong and to reveal characteristics about themselves.
We thought we'd like to start our own Blue Bonnet Cafe motorcycle club. To show our colors, we created a patch featuring a winged slice of meringue pie with the slogan, "Pie Until I Die".
